Holding small parts for spraying

By AJ. 16/Nov/2009

Hi guys, this is my first article here so be gentle :)

A quick tip for those who like to spray those tiny parts in the smaller scales. I use those small alligator clips to clamp onto a small area of the piece which doesn't need to be sprayed. These come in all different sizes and generally have a tight enough grip to hold the part in place while getting sprayed.

For bits like fuel tanks and other weapons which don't have any to grip onto, I sharpen a small piece of sprue and attach it to the fuel tank with a tiny drop of super glue. Attach the sprue in the same spot where it will be attached to the kit so it can be later removed without screwing with the painted finish.

Enjoy!
